Sateesh Pechetti

I am a PhD student in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The Ohio State University. My research focuses on the mechanical behavior of fiber-reinforced composites, using finite element models to connect interactions at the microscale with the response of the material. I earned my master's degree at Arizona State University, where my work focused on computational modeling for soft body armor design.

I work with Abaqus and Python to build and analyze nonlinear finite element simulations. My interests include fiber interactions, contact mechanics, periodic boundary conditions, and assessing simulation reliability. I also develop workflows for model preparation, high-performance computing, and visualization of simulation results.
